They say laughter is the best medicine. I’m no doctor, but lemme prescribe y’all with some daily doses of chuckles and giggles.
Today was filled with much laughter, not just sarcastic scoffing or smirks.
If y’all didn’t know, my day job is an authorized product trainer for Beats by Dr. Dre. I go from store to store training associates and selling products…and taking names. Ha!
A few months ago Apple acquired Beats for $3 billion. People ask me all the time if they are collaborating and the answer is unknown. But most likely, it’s bound to happen.
At a certain Best Buy, an associate asked me that very question in front of a pregnant Apple rep. I pointed to her belly and said, “Yeah, that’s our baby.” LOL. She knew I was joking and politely clarified that it was not.
Just a few minutes later, other associates and I discussed spacing out. I’m sure y’all once stared at something and when someone asked you about it, you have no idea what they’re talking about. For instance, imagine staring at a Porsche in the parking lot. Someone walks by and says, “Nice Porsche, huh?” You reply, “What Porsche?…Oh yeah, that Porsche.”
Another time we space out is when we’re driving on the freeway, either jamming to your favorite song or talking on the phone and because you’re so focused on those things, you completely miss your exit. If you’re a thrill seeker, you cut across multiple lanes, like skkkkkrrrt. Or if you’re more cautious, your reaction would be more like, “Dang it, I missed the exit. Time to drive five miles and back track.” Ha!
Hope my interactions at work made y’all laugh or smirk. =B
